We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities from tour guide to historic interpreter. The benefits to volunteers include gaining insight into the
history of Arkansas, learning new skills, meeting people with similar
interests, helping
enrich the visitor experience, and contributing to the
mission of one of Arkansas's finest museums. Volunteers play an
essential role in the
museum's dual role of education and conservation.
Our collections and exhibits areas offer fascinating
opportunities to work with the collections and exhibit specialists in
discovering, preserving
and displaying artifacts relating to the history of Arkansas
and its people.
Friendly and energetic people are sought to be ambassadors
for the museum. Smiles, communication skills and a desire to heighten
visitor experiences
are welcome. We particularly need people to help with
children and family programs, and at special museum events.
