The Old State House Museum began collecting artifacts of Arkansas history in the 1950's. Since that time, a variety of museum staff members and volunteers have worked to describe and find background information on artifacts in the collection. Today we continue to update our records, add more detailed descriptions, and make them available online for public use.

The artifacts listed here represent only a fraction of the Museum's collection. And, while we are committed to make the entire collection accessible via the internet, we recognize that to do so will be a never-ending project. It will always be a work in progress.
Museum staff will continue to increase the number of artifacts represented on the site and to update information currently posted. We are making every effort to provide documentation about our collection that is accurate and up-to-date.
If you have information relevant to any of the objects you find here, we would be grateful to know about it. Please inform us if you notice errors as well. Direct inquiries to info@oldstatehouse.org.
